When i select apps running it standalone nothing happens. Am I missing something here/?

The AppTree action simply populates task sequence variables that are later consumed by one or more Install Software and/or Install Application tasks. Outside of a task sequence and without these tasks, the AppTree action doesn't do much of anything.
