It would be good if you could add a TS DefaultValues type for variables. I found when creating a computer association and adding a specific users (e.g. LAB\Lstevens) it creates a variable OSDRegisteredUser, except it is only nested within the XML of _SMSTSTaskSequence. It would be ideal if this mode would parse and populate the variables nested inside of the task sequence. Essentially if a computer association is created, I don't want to stop and prompt for the assigned user, or the computer name.
I am able to easily enough to detect if it is a known machine, and report the state (this should be a variable created by this TS mode). I would have to run a custom script to extract out the registered user to know that I can skip the UI++ prompt altogether.
<!-- Determine if known device --> <Action Type="TSVar" Name="ClientState">Known</Action> <Action Type="TSVar" Name="ClientState" Condition='"%_SMSTSx64UnknownMachineGUID%" = "%_SMSTSClientGUID%"'>Unknown</Action> <Action Type="TSVar" Name="ClientState" Condition='"%_SMSTSx86UnknownMachineGUID%" = "%_SMSTSClientGUID%"'>Unknown</Action> <!-- Preset Computername and Primary User ID for known --> <Action Type="TSVar" Name="OSDComputerName" Condition='"%ClientState%" = "Known"'>%_SMSTSMachineName%</Action>
