Right now I'm adding all the AD groups that need to be able to run task sequences, manually in a semi-colon separated list using the Group option, but this will be cumbersome as I roll this out.
Is there a way to have UserAuth recurse all the sub-groups that are members of the AD group defined for "Group=" ?
This way I can let the Help Desk add users to a specific permission group, that is also a member of my parent group where the IT staff's department groups are added.
Thanks!

Unfortunately no, not today as nested group checking is non-trivial to implement. It's in my backlog though.

I ran into another case where I need to use a nested AD group with UserAuth. I was thinking about creating a PowerShell function to do this... Is there a variable that can be passed back to UI++ to let it know an external authorization check succeeded?

It's not documented (I don't remember if I intentionally left it undocumented or not), but there is an attribute named ExitCodeVariable for the ExternalCall action that sets a variable to store the exit code from the called process. That's not exactly what you are asking about though I don't think. If not, then no, not directly. You can easily set a TS variable in your called script though that does this.

OK, thanks. I'll see if I can whip something up using that var.
