When are you running UI++? Using a pre-start command or during a task sequence?

There's no direct way to do this as the system hasn't contacted ConfigMgr yet at this point. You'll need to use a web service or some other custom solution run during the pre-start and before UI++ to query ConfigMgr (or some authority) for the system's name based on MAC Address or SMBIOS GUID.
