Prompt for an assigned user, that when you click next, it verifies the account exists (e.g. CONTOSO\LSTEVENS or LSTEVENS). If the account does not exist, it throws an error. If the account DOES exist, it not only sets the variable, but gives the options to pull in extra AD attributes (much like AuthUser does). Currently I use a freeform text that isn't validated.

This seems similar to validating a computer account and should be fairly straight-forward to add. In my back-log.

This would be a great and welcome addition!
Currently we use a text input to request the username, at completion of the UI, perform validation on the user account and present the UI again if validation fails. On the second attempt if user validation fails, abort the TS.
This would be a much smoother process to include the validation within the UI, simplifying the process and improving user experience.
Thanks for all the great work Jason, UI++ has had a tremendous impact on our imaging experience!

I know I'm necro'ing, and this feature is working *great*.
I'd like to add one more element, and be able to retrieve the LDAP info for the target user, particularly the last name, and the groups, so that I can do some degree of auto-assignment on application lists and build the machine name according to our norms.
